Principal Cloud Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities of oversight are:

  • Security Architecture Design: Review, plan/design and document secure cloud-based systems, including infrastructure, platforms, and applications.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities to improve the security of our cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of TTEC Security Policies: Help with awareness and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud deployments. Help ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001, HITRUST, PCI and SOC 2 Type 2).
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Review and recommend improvements to IAM processes and procedures to efficiently control and manage access to cloud resources.
  • Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Help ensure our SOC has appropriate visibility and monitoring capabilities to detect security events in cloud environments. Enhance the incident response plans to address security incidents.
  • Security Awareness and Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote security awareness across key stakeholders, departments and relevant staff.
  • Security Documentation: Help create, enhance, and maintain documentation related to cloud security architecture, procedures, and incident response plans.
  • Security Metrics:Create and maintain security metrics for the cloud based infrastructures

What You Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.Experience can be used in lieu of a degree
  • Professional certifications in cloud security (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer)
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience with cloud-based security technologies and tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, PCI DSS, CIAQ v4)
  • Must have the ability to communicate across all cultures since TTEC is an international company
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud security
  • Experience designing and implementing security solutions for cloud environments
  • Experience with cloud migration projects and cloud-native security technologies

Compensation

The anticipated range is $170,000-$180,000 USD. Actual compensation offers to a candidate may vary based upon geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill levels.
