We've all had those moments that we wish we could take back. In our job search, we spend hours searching for the right job for which to apply. We stress over every sentence in our resume or CV. We go to every networking event. And yet, all too often, we may not spend all that much time preparing fo the interview. Remember, all else leads to the interview. But the interview is what gets you that job offer (OR not).
One of the most frequently asked question on our Philippines Facebook page that I encounter, is what to wear on an interview at TeleTech. Well, as the saying goes "First impressions always last." It is especially true in the interview. Contrary to the usual belief, good personality, witty answers, outstanding academic records and work history are not the only factors that contribute in impressing your potential employer. The core foundation of a successful interview is showing your interviewer that you have what it takes to be a part of their company or industry. Before you gain their attention, you have to be able to make a statement. And that is showing them that you are not only professional in the inside but as well as the outside. According to psychologists, you have just a fraction of a second to make that first impression.
It is a well known fact that Job Interviews are stressful. People tend to get nervous because of the types of questions that can be asked or how one will react. The best way to take a Job Interview is to be relaxed, take your time to answer questions but most important of all, just be yourself.
