You want to make it big in the professional world. You know which company you want to work for. Then you look at the job boards and compare it with your own skills and experience. You start to wonder, “Is there a career for me in this company?” Some applicants move on right away to finding another company to work for when they are unsure if they fit any of the vacant jobs. Here's the thing is... there is a spot for you in the company if you know how to look for it... especially in a call center.

Eight years is a long time... Or is it? For Iris Rivera, a Team Lead at the TeleTech Novaliches jobs site, it's flown by very quickly. That's how long she has been with TeleTech and has built a career for herself. During my recent trip to Manila in the Philippines, I took a day to make the trek out to the Novaliches jobs site from the Makati EcoPlaza service delivery center. And I'm so glad I did. Iris was one of the passengers I met during the shuttle ride.
Job hunting can be an arduous task. With the right tools you can conquer it. One of the best tactics to employe is networking for job search. Remember, employers love to hire referrals. Ask any employer and they will say that referrals are their best resource. Why is that? Its because there is an implication that the person that works for their company already is someone that they'd like to emulate. Networking increased your chances of being that next referral. Networking involves widening your contacts to increase the chances of finding the right job. Extend your contact and connect to the right people and you may you land your dream job bringing your current job search to a successful conclusion.
With upcoming graduations just around the corner, I was fondly thinking of my own time waiting for when I could finally accept my diploma and jump into the “real” world. That moment when all my hopes were high and I had an idealistic view of the world. Fresh graduates, are so eager to find a job right after college because in order to feel that sense of independence. You earn your own money and live the kind of life you want.
It is the rare individual that has the discernment on what they want to become as early as their childhood stage. And these people are fortunate enough to recognize the career they want and the job from which they are passionatevery early on. The majority of us, however, are unaware of the path that we are destined to take. As a result, there are some that end up doing something which doesn’t really make them happy.
So you've just been hired. Its exciting! This company has just affirmed that there is a need for your skills and knowledge. Now comes the hard part. Once the 'new car smell' of the job has worn off, this is really when you have the chance to shine or fizzle. Its time to buckle down and perform. That's what is in it for the employer... But what's in it for you? How do you stay engaged? Remember, this is about securing not just any job, but one that is right for you. And attitude is a choice.
Apart from the stress and pressure we all get in our daily tasks, we all have to deal with muscle strain from having to sit for too long. At the end of the day, we can't help but complain why certain parts of our bodies ache even if we've just been sitting on our desks while working. Certain muscles that are idle and bad posture are the culprits most of the time. To avoid further damage in the long run (carpal tunnel syndrome, anyone?), here are some exercises that I do to help you keep yourself "fit" while in your office desk. I even gave some of them silly names for easier recall.
“I’m so stressed!” - A phrase I usually hear from my co workers whenever they experience circumstances which lead them to the feeling of being stressed out. It is a very common situation for most of the employees across the globe causing a lot of difficultiess to people within the workplace. According to the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, stress has various negative effects to individuals. They initiated a study and came up with a definition of stress in the work area and I quote:
